It is already the third time when the Safe at Work Coalition, of which Krystian is a member, has selected the best occupational health and safety specialists in Poland. Karol Żuchowski, who beat more than 1400 competitors, got the best result. Michał Walenciak and Szymon Konca claimed other places on the podium.
The third edition of all-Poland OHG Staff Championships has ended. This year more than 1400 people started in the knowledge test and they devoted more than 39 hours to giving answers to competition questions. The best among them participated in a fight for the prestigious title of the OHS Staff Champion and valuable prizes. Managers, experienced practitioners, specialists, academics and students participated in the competition. Also among the participants were aficionados interested in occupation health and safety who are not professionally associated with the industry. The largest number of entries came from the Mazowiecke (15 percent) and Silesian (12 percent) Voivodeships.
OHS Staff Championships consisted of two stages. In the first stage participants solved a knowledge test consisting of 30 one-choice questions. Fifty people who obtained the biggest number of points qualified for the second stage, at which another test awaited the participants which consisted this time of twenty closed questions and five open questions. For the second time an additional hindrance in the competition were negative points given for wrong answers.
– “Since the very beginning our company has actively participated in the promotion of the idea of OHS Staff Championships. We know which issues related to compliance with OHS regulations can be difficult and how important it is for OHS staff to constantly update their knowledge in this area”, says Elżbieta Rogowska, Krystian’s Commercial Director. “This year’s finalists demonstrated comprehensive knowledge about occupational health and safety. I am personally very pleased to see such a great interest in starting in the competition organised by the Safe at Work Coalition, of which we are members since of 2014”, she sums up.
The Competition Commission watched over the factual correctness of the OHS Staff Championships. The commission consisted of representatives of the Safe at Work Coalition and Factual Patrons of the competition, which include: Central Institute of Labour Protection, Lewiatan Confederation, National Labour Inspectorate, Pracodawcy RP [Employers of the Republic of Poland] and Technical Supervision Office.
Apart from titles the winners also received attractive rewards (iPhone 6S, tablet, camera, training and conference vouchers, cycling T-shirts and Softshell jackets). Additional gifts were funded by MOVIDA, Safe at Work Coalition, SEKA S.A and PW Krystian.
